Brazilian energy firm Omega Energia SA has completed the acquisition of two wind projects in Texas, USA with a combined capacity of 531 MW from FGE Power.
The two projects are Goodnight I and II, both with individual capacities of 265.5 MW. The Goodnight I wind farm consists of 59 V136-4.5 MW turbines supplied by Vestas. The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor selected for the first wind farm is Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives (IEA).
