FGE completes sale of 531 MW wind projects in Texas to Omega Energia

Brazilian energy firm Omega Energia SA has completed the acquisition of two wind projects in Texas, USA with a combined capacity of 531 MW from FGE Power. 

The two projects are Goodnight I and II, both with individual capacities of 265.5 MW. The Goodnight I wind farm consists of 59 V136-4.5 MW turbines supplied by Vestas. The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor selected for the first wind farm is Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives (IEA). 

Foley & Lardner's Finance Practice and Transaction Practice Group in Houston served as legal advisors to FGE Power. Whitehall & Co and Protos Energy Advisory served as transaction advisors and development advisors to FGE Power, respectively. Karbone Capital Markets previously served as an advisor to FGE Power on tax equity financing.
