E.on, Equinor commission 385 MW Arkona offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea

German utility E.on SE and Norwegian oil group Equinor has commissioned its 385-MW Arkona offshore wind farm located in the Baltic Sea in Germany. 

The facility consists of 60 Siemens Gamesa turbines that first fed power into the grid for the first time in September 2018. 

French energy group Engie has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) deal with the project developers for the energy produced by the wind farm.
