The 15 MW Elfershausen onshore wind turbine in Bavaria, Germany will be supplied with turbines by the GE Renewable Energy. The order is coming from Prowind GmbH, a company based in Germany.

GE will deliver 3 units of the 4.8 MW 2-piece blade turbines with 158-metre rotor diametres. The hub heights will be up to 150 and 161 metres. The transaction agreement is set to 20-year full-service.

The completion of the project is expected by end of 2019. LM Wind Power, a GE's Danish subsidiary, will make the split blades in Spain. The blade tips, however, will be installed on site.
