Endesa, through its renewable subsidiary Enel Green Power Spain, has already started the construction phase of five solar and three wind plants, expected to contribute a total of 497 MW, once operational before the end of 2022.
In January of 2022, Enel Green Power has started the consturction wind plants of Campillo I, II and III, located in the municipalities of Campillo de Altobuey, Enguídanos, Puebla del Salvador, Castillejo de Iniesta, Iniesta and Minglanilla, in the province of Cuenca. The Campillo trio has a production capacity of 259 MW.
In early March, Enel Green Power also began construction of the Minglanilla I and II solar plants, together will generate 99.62 MW, the facilities are located in the municipalities of Minglanilla and Graja de Iniesta, in the province of Cuenca. The Minglanilla solar complex is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2022 and is expected to generate more than 172 GWh per year, which will prevent the emission of approximately 114,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere per year.
