Endesa, through its unit Enel Green Power España, has been selected as the provisional preferred bidder for the Andorra-Comarcas Mineras (Teruel) Fair Transition tender which seeks to deploy hybrid renewable energy projects across Spain.

The Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge of Spain (Miteco), through the Institute for the Just Transition, has launched the tender that involves the construction of five solar and five wind plants in a hybridization scheme supported by a battery storage system. The projects will have a combined capacity of 1.3 GW. Endesa is planning to invest up to EUR1.2 billion (US$1.16 billion) to develop the projects.
