Eletrobras has approved FIP Pirineus Investment Fund's binding offer for the acquisition of the entire 49% stake in the 26 MW Mangue Seco 2 wind farm located in Guamaré, in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The BRL33 million (US$5.61 million) worth proposal can increase up to 15% depending on certain conditions.
The purchase and sale agreement will be subject to the approval of ANEEL, CADE, and creditors.
Petrobras also announces the beginning of the binding phase regarding the sale of its 51% share in the wind project.
Qualified parties for the biding phase will receive a process letter with detailed instructions on the divestment process, including guidelines for due diligence and submission of binding proposals.
