EDP Renovaveis SA (EDPR) has commissioned the 70 MW Budzyn wind project which comprises 35 turbines of 2 MW each, installed gradually in western Poland.
The first 40 MW was connected to the grid at the end of April 2022, followed by the second 20 MW at the end of August. The remaining 10 MW will be operational by the end of the month.
Budzyn is anticipated to provide sufficient renewable electricity to power over 85,000 local homes and offset over 215,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions yearly.
