Ecoppia Scientific Ltd, an Israeli company specialized in robotic cleaning solutions, has announced a partnership with Matrix Renewables to deploy its technology in 4 solar farms in Spain and Chile. Matrix Renewables will purchase and use Ecoppia's H4 and T4 robots to clean its solar panels. Ecoppia expects to generate a total of US$13 million as revenue from this project.
According to Ecoppia, its H4 model will clean a 135 MW solar farm in Spain while its T4 robots will be utilized in 3 solar PV sites in Chile. The deal signifies Ecoppia's entry into Spain, a new market for the company. The agreement with Matrix not only includes the sale and installation of the robots but also maintenance and operation for their lifespan.
This partnership aligns with Matrix's commitment to developing efficient and sustainable energy. By using Ecoppia's water-free cleaning solution, Matrix will improve the solar farms' overall energy output and reduce their maintenance costs. With this agreement, Ecoppia continues to expand its global footprint and markets outside Asia.
