Ecuador has awarded Dominion a 60 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project. This is one of the projects granted by the government at the highest auction price of US$66.98/MWh.
Dominion presently supervises the operation and maintenance of a 3.5 MW plant in Ecuador, but this will be the first time the company develops a large-scale project in the country.
The company provides a complete solution, from the financial structure and technical study to operation, maintenance, asset ownership, and long-term exploitation through its subsidiary BAS Projects Corporation.
In the following years, the government aims to boost renewable energy's share of generation from 3% to 15% in the next years.
