DESRI signs long term PPA with SWEPCO for 72.5 MW solar project in Louisiana

US renewable energy asset owner DE Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) has signed a long-term power purchase agreement with utility Southwestern Electric Power Co (SWEPCO) for the energy produced from the 72.5 MW solar project in Louisiana. 

The 20-year Renewable Energy Purchase Agreement (REPA) is closed with the Rocking R Solar photovoltaic project that will be installed in the Caddo Parish. SunChase Power and Eolian Energy have initially developed the solar farm. 

The project is expected to be operational by late 2024.
