Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) through its CI Advanced Bioenergy Fund I (CI ABF I) has secured a site for the development of a biogas plant located in Wallonia, Belgium.

The plant will use green sustainable feedstock – agricultural and industrial organic waste – to produce biogas which can either be injected into the existing natural gas grid or be liquified for use as green fuel for transportation. The facility will produce biogen CO2, which can be utilised to produce products like green ammonia, and recirculate organic materials as nutrients (fertiliser) for the region's agricultural productivity.

The project will be jointly dveloped by Cryo Advise and CIP. Lundsby Biogas A/S which holds a minority stake in the project will also be involved in the development of the biogas project.
