Construction at the Coastal GasLink Pipeline Project is now at 60%, with Sections 1 and 4 nearing 100% completion. On the west side of the project in Section 8 East, clearing of the project route has been completed.
Coastal GasLink Pipeline Project is an approximately 670-kilometer (415-mile), 1,219-mm (48-inch) diameter natural gas pipeline that has an initial capacity of 2.1 billion cubic feet per day. It will reduce global GHG emissions by up to 60-90 million tonnes per year, equivalent to 20-40 coal plants being shut down.
