Canadian public utility Hydro-Québec has launched tenders for a 480 MW block of renewable energy and 300 MW block of wind energy projects with the aim to increase energy supply to meet the demand in the province of Québec.
The 300 MW block of wind energy tender must include local participation and regional content requirements to maximize the social and financial benefits of the local communities of the province. The term for power purchase agreements (PPAs) is up to 30 years, starting from the date on which the project begins delivering power.

The term for PPAs is at a minimum of 20 years with no impact on the evaluation grid.
The deadline for responses is on July 21, 2022. Tender information can be accessed on our business opportunity page here.
