China Datang has started building a US$150 million, 263 MW solar plant on the "Buka" mahalla (community) territory in the Buka district, Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
China Datang Overseas Investment, a subsidiary of Datang and owned by the state-run energy company JSC Uzbekenergo, is managing the project. The plant will cover approximately 612 ha. Once finished, it will be the largest operational photovoltaic (PV) plant in the country.
