Clearway Energy Group has secured financing for the 152 MW Cedar Creek Wind project in Bingham County, Idaho, USA. The company is now starting the construction of the wind farm which is expected to generate enough clean electricity to power approximately 41,000 homes annually.
The project's construction involved the collaboration of a bank consortium consisting of Societe Generale, Crédit Agricole CIB, CoBank, and KeyBanc. These financial institutions provided a total of US$322 million in construction and equity bridge loans, US$37 million in letters of credit, and a US$122 million term loan.
Furthermore, Clearway has secured committed tax equity investment as well as cash equity investment from Clearway Energy, Inc. upon the project's commercial operation, which is scheduled for 2024.
