Cerro Dominador, a solar developer owned by investment funds managed by EIG Global Energy Partners, has secured an environmental permit to develop a 690 MW concentrated solar plant project in Chile.
The company has revised the design of its earlier proposed 450 MW Likana CSP project in the Antofagasta region to accommodate a higher generating capacity. The project will have three solar power towers with each individual capacity of 230 MW net.
The mega solar complex will be built in the municipalities of Calama and Sierra Gorda.
