Capstone Infrastructure Corp has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) to sell 105 MW of power generated by its 192 MW Wild Rose 2 onshore wind project in Alberta, Canada.
The renewable energy investor will deliver electricity to Pembina Pipeline Corp. under a 15-year PPA. Located in Alberta's Cypress County, the Wild Rose 2 park is now in development and has an estimated investment of CAD360 million (US$278 million). It will be Capstone's largest operational wind farm once completed.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy will supply the project with 38 SG 5.2-145 machines. Construction of the wind facility is expected to start later this 2022 year.
