Capital Energy has received approval on the environmental impact statement with grid access and connection permits for its 15 MW Pico Liebres wind project in the region of Asturias in Spain.
The project represents a total investment of about EUR11 million (US$13.1 million). It features up to three units of 5 MW turbines and is expected to generate about 41,265 MWh, once operational.
In May of 2021, Capital Energy has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with Statkraft. Specifically, the agreements signed by both companies, have a term of up to 10 years and provide for the sale to Statkraft of the electricity produced by three Capital Energy wind farms with a combined installed capacity of 126 MW.
