Gresham House, a specialist alternative asset manager, has finalized the acquisition of two fully-permitted solar and battery energy storage projects in the United Kingdom (UK) from Canadian Solar Inc.
The two projects include a co-located solar and battery energy storage project in Durham with a capacity of 50 MWp solar photovoltaic capacity and 38 MW (or 76 MWh) of battery energy storage and a standalone solar project in Warwickshire with a capacity of 28 MWp. The projects receive no government funding of any kind, which is in line with Canadian Solar's pipeline of under-development opportunities in the UK.
Both projects have received all necessary permits and are prepared for construction. Canadian Solar will provide long-term operation and maintenance to the project.
