Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) has approved the buyout of Engie Brasil Energia, a unit of Engie, of the remaining 50% stakes it does not own in Engie Geracao Solar Distribuida SA from local firms RPF and Dual G.
With the closing of the deal, Engie Brasil will now hold 100% of the shares of Engie Solar.
Engie Solar specializes in PV energy solutions for residential, commercial and industrial use. It develops, installs, operates and maintains solar systems with an output of less than 5 MW.
