AES Tietê was authorized by the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) to start the commercial operation of the Guaimbê 3 solar power generation complex.

The plant is located in the municipality of Guaimbê, in the interior of São Paulo, and includes a solar complex whose acquisition by AES Tietê was completed last month.

At the time, the investment arm in generation of the American AES in Brazil said that the operation involved 607 million reais.

The 150-megawatt Guaimbê solar complex is expected to generate an annual increase of R $ 75 million to R $ 85 million from AES Tietê's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda).
