The state-owned utility Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) has received 49 responses for the launched request for qualifications (RfQ) ahead for the planned tender of a 100 MW solar photovoltaic plant to interested independent power producers (IPPs).
The tender aims to identify the right developer for two solar photovoltaic plants with 50 MW capacity each. The selected developer will build, own, and operate the project and sell the energy produced under a power purchase agreement (PPA).
