Australia’s largest steel manufacturer, BlueScope, has signed a 7-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for 66% of the output on the 133 MW Finley solar farm owned by ESCO Pacific and located in the Riverina of New South Wales, south-east Australia.

This PPA is one of Australia’s largest corporate offtake agreements, and is the largest with a solar farm to date. The volume under the agreement is equivalent to 20% of BlueScope’s total Australian electricity purchases.

The solar farm is currently under construction and is expected to be online by mid-2019.
