BayWa starts the construction of 27.4 MWp Bomhofsplas floating solar array in Zwolle

BayWa re has started the construction of the 27.4 MWp Bomhofsplas floating solar array in the Netherlands.
 
The project to be installed on a sandpit lake in Zwolle will be consisting about 73,000 PV modules, 13 floating transformers, 192 inverter boats, and an onsite 600 kW battery.
 
The construction of the Bomhofsplas project is expected to be completed in eight weeks and almost completely carbon-free.
 
In partnership with Zimmermann PV-Stahlbau GmbH, BayWa r.e. has designed its own specialist and highly engineered floating system. The patented ‘Zim Float’ system is capable of withstanding high wind, waves and snow and creates a safe structure for ongoing operations and maintenance.
