Balance Power has received planning permission for the 50 MW Wolves West battery storage project in Wolverhampton West, England, UK.
The proposal was approved on appeal after an inspector determined the project's environmental benefits and help for UK's efforts to decarbonize its energy system.
The Wolves West energy system, which will be built on the outskirts of South Staffordshire, is set to begin development early next year. Once operational, it will be capable of storing enough electricity to power up to 11,000 houses.
