Audax Renovables SA signed the power purchase agreement for the 46.1 MW Ourika photovoltaic solar project in Ourique, Portugal. The PPA has a fixed price 20-year agreement. The owner of the project is Morningchapter SA. Audax Renovables is a Spanish renewable energy company.
German insurer, Allianz SE, acquired Morningchapter, via its unit Allianz Capital Partners last October 2018.
The project is one of the first solar projects in Iberian Peninsula to operate without subsidy.
The solar plant can provide its 23,000 local households with clean energy annually.
