Arevon Energy, Inc., an American energy developer, owner, and operator, has announced that operations are underway at its Ratts 1 and Heirloom Solar projects in Pike County, Indiana, USA.
Together, the two projects contribute 264 MWdc of new U.S. solar capacity to the grid, marking Arevon’s first fully owned and operational utility-scale developments in Indiana. Valued at nearly US$400 million, Ratts 1 and Heirloom will generate over US$86 million in revenue for local governments throughout their operational lifetimes—funding schools, infrastructure improvements, and other key community services. Ratts 1 Solar operates under a long-term power purchase agreement with the Indiana Municipal Power Agency (IMPA), while Heirloom Solar supplies its electricity to Meta.
As the long-term owner and operator of the Ratts 1 and Heirloom Solar projects, Arevon continues to expand its renewable energy presence across the Midwest. In addition to these Indiana sites, the company is currently building the two-phase, 430 MWdc Kelso Solar Project in Missouri. Arevon has also developed and overseen construction of several other major Indiana projects, including the 251 MWdc Gibson Solar Project for the Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) and the 228 MWdc Posey Solar Project for the Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Company.
