Apex Clean Energy has updated its plan for the proposed Honey Creek wind farm project from an initial capacity of 360 MW to 300 MW.
Apex has reduced the total number of turbines to 60 from 75 with each hub height of between 590 ft and 670 ft. The project will be developed in Crawford County only after it has received strong opposition in Seneca County which was initially included in the plan.
The developers will submit their planning applications to the Ohio Power Siting Board before the end of 2021 with a target commissioning by 2023.
