Akuo Energy has started the commercial operation on its 2.2MW Aqua Bella hydropower plant (HPP) located in Arc river, in the communes of Aiguebelle and Randens in the Savoie department, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, France.
The project features an installation of a "run-of-river" hydroelectric power station composed of 4 turbines, commissioned in February of 2020.
Leon Grosse has been selected for the civil engineering and construction of the project, started the construction works in 2017.
The local people contributed about EUR300,000 (US$ 355,500) for the project.
