The Akuo Energy's AkuoCoop crowdfunding platform has collected EUR1.2 million (US$1.42 million) for the 15 MWp Curbans solar power plant, which is currently under construction in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
A total of 44 investors, individuals, and companies have taken part on the AkuoCoop's fundraising.
The Curbans project consists of solar trackers and is expected to be commissioned in the coming weeks. Once operational, the project is expected to generate enough power to supply for about 5,000 homes, with at least 20 year period.
