The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has approved the US$50 million debt financing package to support the development of a 300 MW solar photovoltaic project in India.
The 300 MW Thar Surya solar PV project is proposed by Enel Green Power SpA. It will be built in the state of Rajasthan in northwestern India. Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has awarded the project to Enel Green Power in 2020 with a 25-year power purchase deal in place.
International Finance Corporation (IFC) is planning to extend an additional US$50 million financing for the project.
