Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hydrogen Renewables Australia for the development of the 5 GW Murchison Renewable Hydrogen Project in the town of Kalbarri in Western Australia.
The signed MoU will allow both companies to explore the areas of hydrogen policy, technical, and commercial matters for development. This includes the feasibility check of injecting hydrogen facility into the pipeline from the Murchison project.
The Murchison Renewable Hydrogen Project will be powered with the combined wind and solar power generation and use desalinated water. The facility uses Siemens’ electrolyzer technology to convert power from the solar and wind units into hydrogen.
