AES Corp starts construction of the 58 MW AES Bayasol solar plant

AES Dominicana, a unit of AES Corporation, has started the construction of the 58 MW AES Bayasol solar plant located in the Angostura region of the Dominican Republic. 

The facility consists of 145,000 solar panels with a 405 Wp capacity each. 

The US$60 million project will be built by SK Electricidad y Electronica SA. Once operational, the project will be added to the National Interconnected Electricity System (SENI) of the Dominican Republic.
