AECOM has been appointed as owner’s engineer to support the Solar River Project in the pre-financial close development phase, post-financial close construction phase and delivery and compliance commissioning phases of the project.
AECOM will provide a full suite of owner’s engineer technical services including project management, owner’s site representative and superintendent services.
The Solar River Project Stage 1 is a Crown Development Approved Project which includes the development of a 200 MW PV array and 100 MWh battery generating enough power for 96,000 homes. The array is 3200 x 1800 metres with a transmission line connection to the national grid near Robertstown South Australia. The facility will eliminate 8,750,000 tonnes of CO2 air pollution.
Solar River Project Stage 2 is an additional 200 MW with 150 MWh battery and will commence construction in Q4 2019.
