Advisian has been appointed Owner’s Engineer of a 700 MW concentrated solar power (CSP) plant in Dubai. The plant is being developed by ACWA Power and the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and comprises a 260m tower with 100 MW capacity and parabolic troughs with 600 MW capacity and molten salt energy storage.
Advisian will review all engineering work, manage technology risk and provide technical support during the construction and commissioning processes. The company will work alongside Shanghai Electric, the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor, and NOMAC, contracted to operate and maintain the plant.
The plant is the fourth phase of the 5 GW Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.
