Actis LLP, a private equity firm, is now in negotiation to acquire the 400 MW solar portfolio of Shapoorji Pallonji Group. Credit Suisse was assigned to look for the buyer of the assests of the Indian industrial conglomerate, Shapoorji Pallonji.
The assests include, in addition to projects under development, 7 solar parks that are already operational in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Karnataka, totalling 270 MW of energy.
The total investment amounted to US$200 million, and the deal will be carried through by Sprng Energy, an Actis' renewable energy platform.
