Acciona Energía Chile has planned to develop a 130 MWac /140 Mp Pedro de Valdivia photovoltaic project in the María Elena district, Antofagasta Region, Chile.
The project entered into the Environmental Assessment Service (SEA). It will be developed with an estimated investment of US$60 million and will consist of the construction and subsequent operation of an electric power generation plant using photovoltaic panels, a substation, and a 161 meter long electric transmission (LTE) line which will be connected to the existing line called “Chacaya-Crucero”.
The project will use about 307,800 photovoltaic modules, spread in 210 hectares of land area in Marie Elena. The project is expected to generate about 302.22 GWh per year.
The construction phase is planned to start in October of 2022 and expected to be complete by 2 years.
