ACCIONA Energía will build a 235 MWp Fleming Solar Farm in Fleming County, Kentucky, U.S.
ACCIONA Energía is set to commence site mobilization for the 235 MWp Fleming Solar Farm in Kentucky, U.S., with the project expected to enter commercial operation in May 2028. Situated in Fleming County, the facility will mark the company's fifth solar photovoltaic plant and 18th renewable energy asset in the United States. ACCIONA Energía currently operates around 3 GW of renewable energy capacity across the country, spanning solar PV, solar thermal, wind, and energy storage technologies.
The project is anticipated to generate substantial economic value for the local community by giving preference to regional contractors, suppliers, and service providers during both the construction and operational phases. Throughout the project's development, ACCIONA Energía has also contributed to local fire departments and community organizations through donations and community investment initiatives. The company plans to extend this support during construction and operations through its Social Impact Management Program, focusing on education, health and wellness, environmental conservation, and wider community development efforts.
