UPC/AC Renewables, a joint venture between AC Energy and UPC Renewables Group, has started the construction of 300 MWac Masaya solar PV project located in the Khandwa District, State of Madyha Pradesh, India.
The 300 MWac Masaya Solar farm is expected to generate 691 GWh of clean power and avoid about 635,720 metric tons of CO2 per year. The solar plant is expected to provide about 500 jobs during the construction period
The UPC/AC Renewables is in the process of securing a 20-year loan from the State Bank of India to fund the project which is estimated to cost US$220 million.
