Nordex SE has signed turbine supply orders for a total capacity of 245 MW for several wind projects in Canada and Germany.
In Canada, the company will supply 36 N155/5.X turbines to power a 200 MW wind farm in Saskatchewan. The equipment will be provided in a cold climate variant to accommodate the extremely low temperatures at the site. The wind farm will become operational in 2024.
In Germany, Nordex will supply and install 10 N149/4.5 machines for a 45 MW wind farm in North-Rhine Westphalia. The order also includes a 20-year premium service agreement for the maintenance of the hardware. Once fully operational, the wind farm will generate around 96,000 MWh of renewable energy, sufficient to meet the annual electricity needs of more than 38,000 households.
For both transactions, neither the customer names nor the financial details were disclosed.
