China Energy Engineering Corp. (CEEC), via its subsidiaries, has signed an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a 2 GW Haden solar Project in Saudi Arabia.

The contract also includes Buraiq Renewable Energy, a project company formed by Saudi Arabia's ACWA Power. The solar project, valued at about CNH 6.98 billion (US$972 million), is being developed in western Saudi Arabia, around 93 km northeast of Taif, in Makkah province. The project will cover engineering design, equipment procurement, transportation, installation, civil construction, transmission lines, substations, and grid connection, with construction expected to take around 31 months.
