Antaisolar has signed a contract with Cia Energetica de Minas Gerais SA (Cemig) to deliver a 187 MW tracking system for a solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Antaisolar will equip the solar farm with TAI-Simple slew-drive single-axis 1P tracker. The device will ensure the system's stability with dampers on both sides that protect the torque tube. It is anticipated that the accurate monitoring of the tracker contributes 10% to 15% greater power output compared to stationary structures.
The project is slated to be linked to the power grid in Q3 of 2023. It is expected to produce 220 GWh of clean power per year, therefore saving 221,725 tons of carbon emissions.
