Zen Energy has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Mytilineos for its 22 MW Wagga Wagga South solar project in New South Wales, Australia. Zen will take 80% of the electricity and LGCs generated by the 18.7 MW plant, which is expected to enter commercial operation on the NSW grid later this year.
Mytilineos is an industrial and energy giant which has financed and built five solar farms across NSW and Queensland since entering the Australian market in 2019 and has two more under construction.
With the demand for renewable energy on the rise, Zen Energy's acquisition of electricity from the Wagga Wagga South solar farm marks a significant step towards addressing these needs.
