Enerparc Australia Pty Ltd has announced the divestment of 193 MWp of their Australian solar photovoltaic (PV) portfolio to Ingka Investments, as part of a strategic partnership. The divested assets include ENERPARC’s first operational projects in the country, comprising two operational solar PV parks near Parkes and a utility-scale 180 MWp solar PV park in New South Wales under development.
Together, the three solar parks have a cumulative capacity of 193 MWp and will produce around 340 GWh per year, equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 65,000 households.
Australia's solar energy sector has been expanding rapidly, with a 20% increase in the cumulative installed capacity of solar in 2022 alone. With over 5 GWp of installations in 2022, the country's overall installed solar capacity has reached 31.4 GWp.
As part of the divestment, Osborne Clarke acted as legal advisor and UL as technical advisor for ENERPARC while Capcora acted as sell-side M&A advisor.
