Jito Kayumba, Advisor to the President of Zambia, visited the 100MW Mamba Solar PV Power Station (built by Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd.) on behalf of President Hakainde Hichilema. He inspected finishing works and preparations for grid connection and commissioning.

He toured the photovoltaic array, step-up substation, and main control room. Briefings covered technical parameters, power generation efficiency, grid dispatch, and long-term operations. He checked construction quality, equipment status, and site management, and praised the project’s quality, technology, and management. He described it as a benchmark for Chinese support of Zambia’s green development and China–Zambia energy cooperation, and expressed expectations for upcoming grid-connected commissioning.

This is Sinoma Energy Conservation’s second clean-energy project in Zambia (after the zero-external-power green low-carbon project at CNBM Zambia Industrial Park). It supports the Belt and Road Initiative and the group’s overseas strategy. Once online, it is expected to improve the local energy mix and aid the regional low-carbon transition.

Throughout the construction phase, Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd. maintained high standards of project management in line with its philosophy of meticulous construction, quality delivery, and mutually beneficial cooperation. The project team effectively addressed various challenges, including cross-border material transportation constraints, complex geological conditions, and coordination among multiple stakeholders speaking different languages. Through targeted and efficient solutions, the team successfully overcame these obstacles, demonstrating Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd.’s strong technical capabilities and its commitment to the successful delivery of overseas projects.
