Wpd completes sale of 38.3 MW of wind farms to Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG - Unternehmensgruppe

German renewable energy projects developer, Wpd AG, has completed the sale of its 38.3 MW wind portfolio to municipal utility Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG - Unternehmensgruppe. The sum of the sale was not disclosed.

The wind project portfolio consists of five operating assets located in the states of Lower Saxony, Schleswig Holstein, Thuringia, and Brandenburg. The facilities use equipment from General Electric, Enercon and Nordex. The combined output of the parks can produce up to 100 million kW annually. 

The projects have been in operation between December 2015 and November 2017. Wpd windmanager GmbH & Co KG will continue to provide technical management for the plants as a long-term service partner.
