Sri Lankan energy developer WindForce has completed the construction and started the commercial operation of the 15 MW Hiruras wind farm located in Mannar, Sri Lanka.
The project, which consists of two phases, is developed through a special purpose company, Hiruras Power (Pvt) Ltd which is wholly owned by WindForce. The first phase of 10 MW, was successfully commissioned on June 12, 2023, followed by the second phase of 5 MW, which was commissioned on July 21, 2023.
