VSB France has commissioned a 12.8 MW wind farm with support from CIC Corporate & Institutional Banking and local contractors in Saint-Sulpice, Puy-de-Dôme.
After announcing earlier this year the launch of its first wind farm in the Puy-de-Dôme department at Tortebesse (33 MW), VSB France has now brought another project online, the “Éoliennes de Bosjean” wind farm.
Situated in the municipality of Saint-Sulpice, the facility consists of six Vestas V110 turbines with a combined installed capacity of 12.8 MW. It is expected to produce around 24 GWh of electricity annually—enough to meet the needs of over 12,000 people—while reducing carbon emissions by approximately 7,800 tonnes each year.
During the construction phase, VSB France prioritized awarding contracts to local and regional firms, collaborating in particular with TP Lyaudet for earthworks, OTE for civil engineering, and Cegelec for grid infrastructure. Financial backing for the project was provided by CIC Corporate & Institutional Banking. VSB France oversaw the development and construction of the wind farm and is now responsible for its technical and administrative operations. The facility is also fitted with an advanced, patented bird-detection system supplied by its European partner, BIOSECO.
Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. (Innergex) and EOLFI are pleased to announce the full commissioning of the 13.2 MW La Cense wind farm.
