Vistra has announced the commercial operation of the 108 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Crane County, Texas.
The Emerald Grove Solar Facility is built over an area of 1,100 acres and consists of 316,416 solar PV panels that can provide enough electricity to supply about 54,000 average houses. Mortenson provided engineering and construction skills for the solar facility, while First Solar provided solar panel technology.
Brightside Solar Facility having a capacity of 50 MW located in Live Oak County and the 50 MW DeCordova Energy Storage Facility in Hood County were also commissioned by Vistra this spring.
