Vinci SA has been awarded a contract to construct infrastructure for the 37 MW Sud-Vienne-Nord-Charente wind project in central France. A joint venture between Vinci Construction and Vinci Energies, Omexom RE Wind, will carry out all necessary electrical works and ground reinforcement, build 50,000 sq.m. of roadways and platforms, and install foundations for the wind farm.
The Vinci group announced that the installation of 17 Vestas V110 wind turbines with a unit capacity of 2.2 MW will follow the works done by Omexom RE Wind. The wind farm is expected to have a total capacity of 37 MW, providing power for homes and businesses across the region.
This contract for the Sud-Vienne-Nord-Charente wind project is part of Vinci's continued investment in renewable energy infrastructure, further contributing to France's green energy targets.
